Still confused Dazza
I got the pulleys off with no special tools (crowbar ) don't think it was easy though. When you mentioned circlips i thought you were on about the bearings as you will need pliers for this. I have some crappy ones and wish i would have had some better ones.

I've just been given a similar drill....but without the correct V-belt...did you source a replacement for yours??, I'm guessing I'll need one with a circumference of around a metre??

Does anyone know whether I need to buy a new spring from Lathes.co.uk and whether the replacement badge they sell has both the star and fobco lettering or just the lettering? Two emails and no reply, it's almost like they don't want to sell me their spare parts...
Edit: the manual they've made says you need to replace the spring when you disassemble, but is it all that necessary? Also today isd-day, the drill is getting picked up!
I did not replace the spring in mine. Why do you need a new badge?
