Hi folks,
I'm needing to swap some 150mm long M18 grade 8.8 bolts used on a front end loader grab as pins (factory spec not a farmer bodge!) as they're silly expensive and keep breaking. So I'd like to replace with a turned pin as I've a lathe and the ability to use it!
What I can't work out is what grade to use, my initial thoughts were En16, but I can't work out if it's similar or higher strength etc.
Anyone know roughly what 8.8 equates to as a steel grade?
As always, any help much appreciated.
Cheers, Dan
