so the plan was to wait until i got myself a better lathe. but trying to find one that similar size in good condition and has everything isn't easy.
also needs to be able to be used on top of the long bench currently in garage.
i do not have room for the type that has its own base/cabinet unfortunately.
anyways i decided to get a quick change tool post and holders etc.
so from top of compound slide to chuck centre is 26mm
top of cross slide to chuck centre is 90mm
i see many use the china 250 - ... posts.
like these
250 - 111 post and 250 - 101 holders.
question is how easy would it be to open up a couple of standard holders to 16mm
standard holders are 11.5mm wide and 14mm high for the tool..
the other question is if anyone has this same style holder. 250-111 would be great if you could measure the holder size.
as they only state the height at 76mm, but the width size includes the holder at 79mm
