Hey, there I know it's done alot on sip and other low end machines that suffer from poorer wire feed quality than the clarkes, but does/has anyone swapped the power delivery over from the main transformers onto an independant power supply specifically for the wire feed on clarkes?
Nothing as fancy as full on pwm control or anything, just simply swapping the supply over (if it's that simple and I'm not missing anything)
If so how did you do it and what were the results?
I only ask as I have a couple of clarkes at the moment, an old tatty Pro 90 and a decent 160te, wondered if there'd be anything gained via fiddling, especially given that the little 240-24v 2a psus are really cheap
More curiosity than anything else, lemme know, cheers, George.
