does that say forged or forgery
even if it cost 3pence to make and has no metal what so ever in its construction.
its still better quality than a modern snap on tool
I don't understand all the hate for 'modern' Snap On, I got to borrow a roll cab full of spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, etc last year and they were without a doubt some of the best tools I've used. If I could afford it I wouldn't hesitate.Own any do you?

I completely agree. I buy what I like best. It doesn't always mean I like the snap on stuff best for every thing but there chrome stuff is the best I've used.I have a box full of the stuff, I'm a bit more choosy about how and when I buy it now, I wait for deals but it looks after me, doesn't break and skin my knuckles and does a great job. I dislike poor quality tools and won't use them because I'm lucky enough to be able to afford a choice.

Snap on linesman pliers nothing touches them for the abuse mine get. I think a lot of the anti snap on comes from the blue point and Euro tools thing they do. People think this is snap on and buy it because it's cheaper but expect the same gear. It's far from it. In fact the euro tool stuff is a rip off and as nasty as silverline crap imo so don't be fooled by snap on euro tools. It's junk.
Your dead right thereBiggest downside I have seen associated with Snap-On is theft as shiny attracts magpies. I know at least two guys who have never really gotten over the loss of their kit, one in particular will be bitter until the day he dies.
