Didn't garringtons do a lot of car forgings as. Their main work?
I have a gar ringtones 8" adjustable,excellent,
I think wen the Chinese sent their shiny chrome ones over here lots of people were lulled like jackdaws.
I must have Chinese ancestry then ive copied a fair few designs on machines and tools its in the bloodNah it's the Chinese who forge everything.............
Cheers Richard, will be ordering a set of Kennedy pro on the strength of that.
Already wasted a few evenings browsing the choice's with no positive result.
Was thinking of opening a new post until you mentioned the Kennedy here.
Re britool, I suspected what your saying, I would have loved to have been able to buy a proper British make.
Actually, that's made me think, does anyone know what the modern day king dicks are like? (behave)
I've got Kennedy Pro in metric and imperial. Really nice spanners and have a good length to them. Their flare nut spanners are superb. You won't be disappointed.
theres another question - are britool what they once were? ive a set of britool flex-head ratchet spanners, and they are nice to use, but not nearly as high quality as some of the old generation britool stuff my dad gave me that are still flawless.
the open end of the spanners are showing deformation, and the 10 and 13 ratchet mechanisms have already died and needed to be replaced. theyre only about 4 years old. They seem 'soft'
i think my favourite snap on tools are my half inch breaker bar which i always clean before it goes back in the box, and my extended length spanners, i just love using them whenever i can
ok for getting in tight spaces thenI have several matador, w.german quality, only thing is they're thin & short.
Kennedy must be one of the few brands I don't have a single one of.

They're mostly Hazet, Elora, Gordon and Matador. Not sure of the general opinion of the latter two but they've served me well enough.
yea and the size u require isn't there a mishmash of sizes and makesIs 'overspannered' a word?
