Hi Everyone. So, im looking at building a custom bumper for my truck soon.
It will be made from individual plates, seam welded then ground flush.
The reason i started a new thread as this isnt really bodywork related, the steel im welding is 4mm thick, but theres lots of different angles to grind.
This is what im looking at, at first, i thought these were bends, not finished welds!
So, how are they doing it? I know i could get a nice radius like that with a flap disc, but not consistent as to give a perfect straight edge like that!
Is it very fine flap wheels and a slow process? Air sander maybe? Or just a lot of skill?
Thanks
Rich
