Yet Another Garage Thread

As previously mentioned, I have recently purchased a bit of land with a garage on it. It needs some work to make it useable and didn't have time before Christmas to make a start. Had a few days off this week so started clearing the jungle thats grown up around it.

This is what it looked like on Friday morning

Hired a chipper and spend most of the day feeding stuff through it. In front of the garage are a collection of tree stumps, trees have been felled by someone and all the branches left piled up

This where I'd got to by Friday evening

Back again on Saturday to carry on bagging up all the green stuff





Back of the Disco was full as well as my 6' x 4' trailer

Thats it for this week, there is still loads to clear, what you can see is about 50% of the land, there's the same to do on the other 50% behind the garage but thats for another day

That looks interesting have you been inside could be a real barn find in there, its hard work doing the clearing but very rewarding once you can see the result.

Inside are 2 more cars, BWM E30 cabrio and a Renault Megane, BWM has been in there since 2006.

The garage was rented by a friend of mine and he is moving the cars out shortly, not been inside yet, the doors are held in place by nothing and as soon as they are disturbed will just fall into a pile on the floor.

Once he has moved the cars out will rip out whats there and sort out some proper doors, as it is there is still much to do outside

I'm not as fit as i used to be, Friday night i was in bed by 9pm and everything ached, same Saturday, just take some pain killers and carry on

I get that problem - it's an age thing However, I find a great cure is feet up on a comfortable settee, in front of the tv, with a couple of pints of good ale followed by at least three fingers of a single malt or decent rum
Of course the downside is I fall asleep and wake up in the early hours with back ache

I just end up with a head ache the next morning and the aches still there

@MaartenNL I do but my wife has yet to agree to them

Made a set of doors last Saturday, was going to fit them this coming Saturday but ow have a road trip to Tamworth to pickup a Freelander for the BIL, if weather is good on Sunday will do it then


@HopefullySoon yeah, it's getting shifted by it's owner, I have enough projects already!
