Nice to see the real welders instead of the occasional car panel tacking. Did some pretty big runs nice and hot, melting through 8mm if you're too slow, pounding the in wire, running vertical down in most cases. Great stuff!
Glad your finally getting the experience your after before welding cranes in oz. if you bump into Carl Talbot tell him I said hi ( he's a supervisor but not sure on what line). I've been around Cartwrights when I had some apprentices in there and it's huge isn't it? Have you seen where the chassis get painted yet? Once complete they are hoisted in the air and sent through a huge, really long spray booth which is seperate a only for priming and top coating.

Its a massive place! I havent seen even a third of it yet, but places like the painting booths are off limits to un p.p.e'd personell but that wont stop me from being nosey.
