You can get the cost back on your tax which is a good reason! If I had the cash it would be on my shopping listI make a reasonable turn over with mine as a stand alone thing - weather vanes, fire pits, garden stuff, etc etc.
It also contributes by profiling for other people. I did 50 angle plates the other day for someone. Did a load of parts for some sub sea thing. Got 110 turf slitter blades to make this week.
It makes me money by complimenting the engineering / fab side of the business as well. If I need a bracket or a thing or a load of bits cut to weld together it saves loads of time.
Not sure I could justify it on that basis alone but it’s a timesaver for sure.
