Would you do this?

I have found this welding course and am wondering if it is as good as it sounds?

I did a few welding courses last year and it was the thing I looked forward to all week, going to welding class had me coming home happy and laughing.
The wife and I are considering a move to Oz (thats Australia not the magical land that has yellow brick roads) and I could change my carrear to being a welder, which earns good money over there and has sociable hours.
I'm a qualified chef and motorcycle mechanic, but we would be looking for something that is monday to friday.

There is work in the mines over there that is really well paid and every city has jobs advertised.

So instead of sitting at home freezing my **** off applying for jobs and getting no replys. We are thinking there are more opportunities there.

So would this course be a good idea? Do you think I would have a job at the end of it?

Ahhh... go anyway! It's fun. You can always come back. I lived out there for a while on a 40' catamaran houseboat (Noosa river, Queensland). Fantastic! Fellah next boat along, Kiwi, had stakes in an opal mine in the middle of nowhere (he never found any). English kiddie, on the river, welder, always had work (used to drive a bath-tub with outboard to get backwards & forwards from his boat).They've got V8's, ute's, trikes and beach buggies. Their lamb [...taste of] is to die for...

Everyone's fit (too hot to be fat), surf's great, sun's great, and the birds...

Australia is the only "western" that is not in the depths of the worst recession for 80 years!

i have family over there, and yes, if you have the right trade jobs are easy to come by in Aus.

I've spoken to a lot of English couples, that went there for work and came back, their biggest gripe was that one of them (husband / wife) wanted to come back so they could be closer (location wise) to "their family". I got the impression "the other half" was well griped because they really loved it and wanted to stay.

Some of the English people, I've spoken to, who refuse to go, say they don't like deadly spiders, snakes & what not. Neither do I, but I found the wildlife was more afraid of me, than I was of them.

Up... "at the crack of Dawn", dive off the boat, swimming with manta-rays. Drive down the river in the tinnie & walk into town with shorts & t-shirt, for some chocolate covered licorice sticks and a few good books from the library, what the hell am I doing here...

Is this course a good one?
It looks good, but what do you guys think about the qualifications?
