I actually posted the scenario for -10 degrees because I guessed you wouldn’t even connect it with a scenario of “less than 5 degrees”. I was right, you didn’t.
And then to clarify after your comment:Not a good idea nowadays, the modern refrigerant gases don't work below about 5 degrees ambient. Something that sits in a cold garage for example now needs to be built for that purpose with alternative gas in it.
At which point you seem to have taken offence at my suggestions for some reason?I possibly should have been a bit clearer, I was talking about external temperature not the internal temperature of the fridge.
I was merely pointing out that a fridge will not operate efficiently or even at all at a low ambient temperature, i.e. outside somewhere like a detached garage.
