Worth Repairing a bandsaw?

Mine did too and I promptly lost it.

The vice attachment looks a good job too.

That's just too flimsy for my tastes, but if I were to do it, that's the method to use.

Not worth buying to repair unless you enjoy fixing/restoring things. You can just wait and get a decent one exactly the same - 4 inch max cut capacity for 90-100 quid. That one in the pic could have all sorts wrong with it - bearings, blade, motor, they all add up.

Well this is all well and good, but it depends where you are to an extent. I wanted to pay £50 for mine, but I got it for £60.
It was close by, my grandson and I fetched it home in a wheelbarrow. It needed a new blade/band and a clean, but I knew it was low mileage, which, being on the hobbe end many of these are. If I was in a more populated area I would expect one or two a week nearby..
