Workshop layout software

Well the man cave is water tight now with the new door made a mounted.
Pictures of them will be uploaded tomorrow.
Does anyone know of any free software for designing the interior as where to place the welding table, welders, cupboard space ect...

The other issue will be is the software Android tablet compatible or will it just be PC compliant.

Dunno about software but the law of sod says that if you plan everything out to have plenty of room around everything then within 6 months you'll be offered a bargin that's too good to turn down and too big to fit nicely into your well planned w/shop and like everyone elses (no matter how big) it'll end up either cramped/too small or you'll have rearrange everything to make the new lathe or whatever fit. More likely both

I spent lots of hours pondering my workshop layout, most of it worked but the best advice I can offer it to put everything on wheels that you can.

I had the same problem recently - Mrs Fro spent ages drawing everything up in AutoCAD. I drew the workshop on graph paper and cut out scale footprints of my gear. My method was much quicker and easier to try different configurations.

Sketchup is pretty good for layouts and because it's openware type stuff, people have already drawn loads of different bits and bobs. I think it's free for a month or so too.

I used the grizzly one for mine, but I'm still moving stuff about to tweak the layout.
