Been doing a bit of sanding (with a particle mask) and I can't believe how much dust is everywhere. Just checked the mask and the outside of the filters are covered, all of this would have ended up in my chest without the mask. Scary. This easy-sand filler does seem to produce a lot more dust than regular P38.
It looks like a full on dust extraction system is thousands so out of the question for me. But my sanding blocks have extraction holes to fit a vac pipe to, and this has to be a good improvement over nothing. Obviously I would still wear a mask but I have no idea about a decent dust rated vacuum to buy. I do have a couple of Henry hoovers but these are going to clog up in no time. I get 2 good vacs of the garage from one bag before it loses suction.
Must be portable and mobile, the dustbin type things aren't moved easily. Needs a long hose with the adaptors (or available kit of them) to connect to sanding tools. 240 volt. Would be ideal if it could double as a normal vacuum so I can ditch the Henry. Bag availability needs to be good as well. The Henry Hepa bags are 10 quid for 2 packs of 4.
Any ideas please?
