Wood filler

One for the woodworkers on here ,
Got some wood window frames I've been painting ,they have been neglected for a few years ,with some rot .
I have chopped out the rot ,coat of clear cuprinol and filled /sanded with wood filler only problem the filler is rock hard like body filler ,and had cracked because of the movement in the timber
So what to do I'm thinking chop out a gap where filler meets timber and fill with no nails type adhesive /filler .
Unless there is a better more. Flexible wood filer available ??

chop it back out square glue and pin a new piece of wood in. plane level .any gaps fill and sand

Blimey sounds like a big job Was after a quick fix / bodge ,only need them to last a few more years
Mind you I hate Upvc windows . So maybe a proper job is the way to go !

It's not too bad, just sounds a lot!
I you do it this way, use a punch to get the pins below (good couple of mm, at least) the surface level, before using the plane!
