Am in the market for a bigger generator & spotted this,not sure it matches the quality of my old gut buster though,anyone had experience of current wolf generators?

Hi, what are you going to be running off it. I recently bought a Loncin powered 4100 watt generator from Pumps UK at Hainault in essex for £300 odd quid. That will run my Lincoln inverter right up to its 160 amps maximum, it doesn't however include a frame. I made my own for about £25, and you can make it to suit whatever you need, wheels etc if you need them. They do a bigger output model for a bit more money, but this one suits me fine.

A 110v inverter would be the biggest,item then grinders ,mag'drill & hammer drill

AFAIK the Wolf tools that are for sale today are simply rebadged Chinese items and have no links to the traditional Wolf products of the past other than the name.

True - if you do some research into the trademark you'll find it's now nothing to do with the "gut-buster" company we all knew and loved.

My father in law lent me an old Wolf gut buster a few months ago 350watts & 300 rpm. I drilled a 7/8" hole 4" deep in cast iron with the beast, must be 50 years old at least but still does the job. Cant see the new ones lasting as long!
