Does anyone have any experience with the Wolf 130 Amp Fan Cooled Arc Welder?
Very cheap. Is it ok to start on?

Their MIGs aren't up to much in my opinion but there's not much to go wrong with an Arc welder. If you want it for thin sheet welding, ie.car bodywork, forget Arc as you will just blow holes in it... you need a MIG for that. Arc is OK for thicker section welding, 2mm +

1.5mm erw wouldn't be any use for a road tow trailer, far to thin and would buckle under the stress. First time the off road buggy goes off road, its likely to need a new chasis out of erw. You are looking at something like 3mm RHS or CHS to be safe, which means a 150amp machine would be ideal, but of course if its 3mm an arc welder would do that
