Wire Wheels

Can anyone recommend a decent but fairly priced whire wheel - i have been using silverline ones which are cheap as chips but they seem great for about 5 minutes then they become harder to use.

i know silverline arent great at the best of times

if anyone has any other suggestions from experiance let me know

On a bench grinder or angle grinder?
I use silverline ones on a bench grinder and they to my surprise seem fine and last for quite a long time and I do use them a lot for cleaning stuff up. The angle grinder ones are a waste of space.

Silver line wire wheels on the drill are great fun if you enjoy picking bits of wire out of the old noggin.

if its a job that can be accessed by a grinder i find the wire brushes are far better on them as it is easier to control and exert pressure as you are pushing down rather than sideways

Griner wire brushes are far easier to use compared to drill ones, you will ruin your drill bearings quicker too as drills arent for a side load
