I've had a sore/swollen knee for a while now, a little scab that refused to heal. Really very sore even just my trousers pulling against it.

Lost the plot with it tonight, out with the pocket knife for a bit of home surgery.

Pulled this little blighter out....they really do get everywhere.

They are angry, I was using one under a car and got a kickback, ran it up my lip/nose.

That was definitely a scared to look in the mirror moment.

You want a variable speed angle grinder... it's been a revelation for using wire brushes. Works great for everything actually. I wouldn't dream of buying a standard fixed speed grinder now.

Having said that, wire brushes by their nature break bristles the softer ones especially... the hard knot wheels are usually too hard!

very true I only use them in on a slower speed on my lidl/aldi grinders

Cant agree more, there are many instances using angry grinders where full speed is less than ideal, I have a compact 4"pneumatic grinder which is hopeless as a normal grinder but perfect for situations where you need/prefer speed control.

The bristles are alternated in the direction they are twisted. They throw no bristles. Unless you try using them down to nothing

For home use I have taken to using Abracs Nylon brushes which though not as effective as a wire brush will not try to turn you into Pinhead.

Last time I used a wire brush it was so unbalanced that it stuffed up the bearings in the grinder head and had to skip it.
