Hello,
I have had a Clarke 130EN for a while and hadn't had a problem out of it. However, I tried using it last week and that changed. The machine will feed the wire all day long (.030 Flux Core) until I start to weld. For some reason when I start to weld the wire seems to weld itself/jam/break in the trigger neck. This causes the entire wire to jam and the wire itself will also end up breaking at the feed wheels since they keep feeding and the wire itself is jammed in the neck.
I ended up buying a new Thread Guide wire liner and a new .030 contact tip. They came in today and I installed them. However, I am still having the problem. Upon closer inspection after I try to weld and the wire ends up jamming the neck has a hot spot about 1/2 inch from where it comes out of the Handle. Also, the wire liner has a white spot in this same area. I figure for some reason the wire it "welding itself" in this area and breaking. Unfortunately I can really figure out why. As I said before I have already replaced the tip and the neck wire liner. I also have a new torch liner, but I have not installed it because I figure that the problem is in the handle and not in the torch itself. I'm really hoping the collective minds here can help me with this problem. I have tried to describe it as accurately as I can and perhaps too accurately.
Thanks,
Han
