I just happened to read this. A very old thread but I still can't say I have ever seen such a tool. Has anyone else?

They do also have a wire stripper on them, but I think they mean crimping tools,

Just avoid using that style for crimping as they are terrible for that! The bolt cutting does actually work alright

Still got my Ampliversal set I was given as an apprentice in the 70's, bolt cutters/trimmers are BA sizes.

Lots of sidecutters, aimed at electricians (i.e. most likely to be found in VDE style) have M3.5 and M4 screw cutters in the jaws.

Also handy for kitchen cupboard, door handle and Ikea wardrobe screws which are M4.

They’re also REALLY handy to keep by the TIG welder for trimming your tungstens with the bolt cutters!

They came to light when I was looking for the size of a bolt that fits a Japanese sewing machine to hold the needle bar thread guide.
2 mm is to small. 3mm is to big.

I have some 2.5 coming today but I suspect it's an imperial size knowing my luck. At least I know how to shorten them easily.
