Hi,
my brother's supermig 150/5 is causing problems. I have recently changed the wire reel and ever since the wire sticks when it gets hot, then unsticks itself when it cools or after you give a tug/twist/pull etc. The "new" reel was quite corroded as it had been sat on a shelf for years, so I pulled all the rusty stuff off and threw it away and sprayed what's left with generous amounts of WD40. It worked for a while but now it plays up again.
Under no welding the feed is smooth and consistent but as soon as you attempt to weld, the feed stops then after a second or two the wire suddenly clicks out again and feed is restored.
Am i using the correct size wire and wire feed nozzle, I wonder? Or is the wire too corroded still, despite it looking OK?
Thanks
