Ok another pointless thread with potential to help..On this paticular welder i have my wire feed approx double my amp setting and get a perfect feed on each setting from 1-5..whats even more intresting is i had the same formular on my old ERP 195 for near bang on feed rates

I can't understand why people get so tied up with wire feed. I have never taken any notice of wire speed on any machine I have used. I set the amps, and tune the feed to suit.

Must admit I do the same, sometimes fiddle a little bit on the rarer type of job, but generally never bother moving it..it stays somewhere about halfway and that suits the 4 power settings I tend to use most.

this thread is aimed at the raw novice as some kind of starting point really..yea i agree what your saying,i set my feed by ear on a test piece 1st
