Evening again guys and girls, another of my odd questions (maybe)
For general fabrication work (ranging from 3-12mm mostly) would I be better staying with 0.8 wire and in spray transfer, or going up to 1 or 1.2 and dropping back to short circuit.
Obviously i`m going to have better power transfer with the heavier wire, but will this be as hot and have as much penetration as running in spray on the smaller wire.
Not worried about the effect on the lower end if I have to do light stuff, i`ll still keep a reel of lighter wire.
This is mainly due to the fact that I have just set fire to an MB25 torch whilst running flat out. Finished a series of runs only to find flames comming from shroud, swan neck on fire and the body melting away. MB36 on order (spare 15 for light stuff)
