wire size for kemppi mini arc mig

Im using .6 wire in a kemppi miniarc mig 180 for up to 4mm mild steel is this ok or should i up to .8mm thanks for any help

We use 0.8 in ours, think the standard roller with it was 1mm and 0.8mm.

Just watch the widths of the rolls if you get a new one.
Murex reels dont fit, Lincoln do.

I'm sure the automatic settings are based on 0.8 wire, so it could be easier to use it.

I use quite a bit of 0.6mm in my Minarc for general stuff, but for 4mm I would definitely go to 0.8mm

I only ever use .8 in my 180 minarc and it works fine down to 1mm so I can't see a reason to use .6.
