wire KG please help

hi guys i am new to welding and would like some body to explain to me what the KG weigh means in welding wires .
the problem i have is i bought 2 small reels of welding wire off ebay told to be 0.45kg but what i have received is 2 swp 0.5kg reels but looking at a reel of 0.45kg and a reels of 0.5kg they look the same i thought that higher the kg the bigger reel and the more on it but i am quite confused could some one please explain also does it matter if it is gasless wire which is what i am buying

the difference between 0.5kg and 0.45kg is very little the heaveyer the roll the more wire and bigger it is!

The KG stated on the reel is what the wire weighs, I think that's without the spool.
With only 50 grammes between the two you wouldn't see the difference.
Gasless wire weighs slightly less than solid wire which is why two reels with what looks like the same amount of wire on will weigh different amounts.
Normally solid wire on small reels is 0.5kg whereas gasless wire is 0.45kg.
Is your machine capable of running gasless wire or did you buy it without really knowing?

0.45Kg is about 1 lb so it could be American whilst the 0.5Kg is probably designed for Europe.
The spools are the same (I think)

yes my welder does both gasless and gas welding a bought a gasless welder thinking that i could get a large 5kg roll of wire for around 12 pound until i bought the welder then realsied the stuff for 12 pound was just solid steel for a 5kg roll of flux cored it was around 70/80 quid!! i was just wanting to check what i had been sent to make sure i wasent being dun in by getting 0,5kg when i ordered 0.45kg

0.5kg is MORE than 0.45kg so why would you be 'done in'?
