Wire In Feed roller postion

Hi Just a Little Help Please When reading the manuals on setting up migs (any i think ) i notice they always tell you to use the groove on the feed roller nearest (facing ) to you.
But looking at the way the wire feeders are set this is not possible they seem to line up to the groove which is behind. or am i miss reading the instructions.

Use the groove that's in line with the feed in from the wire spool, and the feed out to the torch.

Make sure you're using the right size groove for the wire size you're using.

Thanks luke is aways better to make sure than try to alter things around.

What gets confusing as well is that the size of the wire groove may be stamped on the face of the roller nearest the other sized groove.

On clarke machines if you can see 0.6 on the roller when in the machine the groove furthest away is actually the 0.6 groove.
