Hi guys
I think I know the issue but wanted advice to confirm and then also suggestions on rectifying the issue
I was recently welding some 2mm plate to cap off two gate posts made from 6mm box section steel. I capped off one post satisfactorily and moved to the second.
Upon setting up, I found that the wire feed was on max which was too quick for the weld I was doing. I checked and it was still set at 2 as I had been using. So turned it to 1 to turn it down - no difference. Turned it to 3 to cck - same speed. So the speed switch wasn’t making any sifference
So my question, do the speed control switches burn out or fail, is it a known issue at all?
To rectify, should I just fit a new speed switch? If so, where would I get one, what’s the part number please?
Cheers
Westy
