Wire Feed Issues

I have a clarke mig welder and the wire feed is getting stuck were the swan neck connects into the gas vlave part. I cant remove the swan neck as the grub screw is all burred? I have removed the wire feed connector and pulled out the swan neck liner and it looks ok so cant understand why the wire is getting stuck. Do you think I should remove the neck liner and replace?

Can you take some pics? it would be easier for us to say what's wrong with it...
Try to feed the wire through when you took off the tip....if it feeds correctly then it's only the tip!

The wire feeds all the way to the torch but gets stuck right where the swan neck meets the gas valve block I will try to take some pics. The wire seems to feed fine with out the swan neck liner in? Do I need the liner?

Yes, you need it!
But if i remember correctly it is not expensive to get a new liner for the swan neck.....i'll have to check that out! Doesn't Weldequip sell those??

I think they do, am I ok putting that in through the gas valve as cant take the neck off.

I really woulden't know Leedslad.... I'm used to taking bigger torches apart (mb36) they don't have a neck liner....
But i'm sure someone who knows will get here soon!
If not you could ask Weldequip (Steve) himself?

The swan neck liners normally go in through the side of the gas valve that you can access, so you would replace them that way even if you could remove the swan neck.

Thanks for your help I am ordering a liner today from wel equip and fingers crossed can finish patching up my MG
