Hi all, am new to forum!
I have a kenda 140amp mig, (Its not an amazing machine and is quiet poor quality but got it half price!). I use it for fabrication work and repairs on my ride on mowers and tractors, which (when working correctly!) does the job well.
The gas valve in the torch has gone (leaking) and I am having difficulties with the wire feed system (rollers slipping on wire, not enough torque), I have tried a smaller roll of wire and adjusting the wire tension, but no different! The roller has groves in it, should this roller only be used with gasless wire? The torch cable has to be perfectly straight with no bends for the wire to feed at all!
The torch is hard wired, but I was thinking of replacing it with a Euro torch adapter kit, would this solve feed issues?
Would it be better to replace the torch with a Euro or just replace the gas valve in the current torch and sort out the wire feed separately?
Does anyone have any recommedations or ideas?
Thanks
