Wire and crimp connectors

You can buy a hydraulic crimp tool for £20 on ebay that will do the job and you can buy a nicer quality one for about £50

I made a couple of bit using 3-4mm SS wire and copper crimps. One was through a hole in the body of my chainsaw spanner and it has a clip on the other end that fits my fuel can. Works a treat and has been very durable. The other is a piece for support brake calipers when doing suspension work.

There's loads of places on ebay that do the rope and it's not expensive, there are different type, some have more cores and are more flexible.

I am looking to have my DNA sculpture suspended on a wire. It weighs about 28kg and will need to be able to spin by being given a couple of turns and left to unwind by itself. Where can I source braided SS wire and crimps or whatever is needed to connect it?
Temporary fix shown. I think a single wire at the top to two onto the structure.

I know we all like metal on here but spliced rope would look great and would have none of the fatigue problems with repeatably twisting wire rope. Dyneema isn't cheap but it's seriously strong for it's section size and it doesn't stretch or creak.

You have just got to be able to tie a proper knot, anything better than the rubbish kids learn when tying their shoes and you'll be fine with Dyneema.
