Wipers turning on with high beams .. MOT

So I've got my 190e booked in Friday morning for an MOT,
Going through it doing pre checks, found the wipers keep turning on with the high beams, if I flash them the wipers do a few revolutions, if the high beams are on permanent, the wipers are too.


Will it pass an MOT like this?
Presumably it'll be the stalk at fault, going to struggle to sort it tomorrow.

it might pass it might fail all depends if the tester thinks its them when they flashed the light on high beam

switch high beam on and i bet it gets a fail

normally they just test the lights are on normal beam and in right place

if it passes just replace the stork as you know its there

Turns out it was just a bad ground by the headlight,
Wires were quite corroded.

I think she's ready now

Yep, first thing I'd be looking for in older cars, bad earths. Well, maybe second - first I'd be checking all connectors for corrosion - sometimes just un-plugging and reconnecting is enough to wipe the contacts clean enough to work properly again.

Nope not had an advisory in the 2 tests I've done on it, not bad for a 31 year old
