We’d like to get our windows and possibly large sliding doors replaced, there a mixture of quality aluminium sliding, which are now heavily misted (40 years old),plus old style steel crittal with secondary plastic glazing frames butting against them internally, many of these have broken plastic fittings. 31 in total,we’ve had two quotes,deceuninck,£29,000 and velfac at £49,000,both are supplied and fitted, both + vat.they’re both the most energy efficient in their range. The velfac are the better quality. I favour the aluminium, though I understand some upvc are made of slimmer mullions/transoms so I could be converted. Have any members had experience recently of quality replacements ? Thanks.
