Windows XP Pro help needed

I've recently started getting a message that ctrl+alt+del has been disabled by the administrator
I don't know how as I'm the only person to use the laptop .Anyway,question is how do I enable it again? I've had a poke round control panel etc but can't see anything obvious.

sounds like it could be a virus, as they do that to stop you getting into the task manager, you running anti-virus software do a scan?

Yep AVG 8 updated regularly.Thing is if I log in under "Guest" it works

I would assume it is a virus or other nasty of some sort until you can prove otherwise. Found some advice on the internet that looks respectable: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt-2000-xp/400239-taks-manager-problem-virus.html
Couple of thinks to download and try there. I saved a load of links somewhere for rooting out viruses. I'll find them and post them here (though they will be a year out of date).

Only the first one ! Funny how something goes wrong and you forget the most obvious things to check
Thinking back I did have a little spell of pop ups last week,maybe its something to do with them that caused it??? I'm running the anti virus/adware/spyware stuff now to make sure.
