Accidents happen, i can live with that, but my wife managed to back her car into my car when pulling out of the drive... argh!
To be perfectly honest the damage is fairly minimal, my car (2010 Suzuki grand Vitara) rear bumper paint scraped off and a small crack plus a couple plastic push in clip things broken. considering it got bent in a fair way i was surprised it wasn't worse, and i was very lucky that no metal seems to have been touched at all. It looks a little worse in person than on the photo id say but you can probably tell that to scrape in the various places it did remove paint it deformed quite a bit and recovered amazingly well.
This leaves me with a dilemma, do i get it repaired or not? no real idea what the cost would be at this stage, but no way it would be worth contacting the insurance.
I'm keeping the car for a while and its hardly new so its not really resale value i'm concerned about so much, its more just the fact that its the only non scrap car I've ever had and, I've had it for like 3 years, its still pretty low mileage and was up to this point basically pristine and now its not.
Her car (Mazda 6) came off a little worse arguably, some bumper paint damage but also a bit of dent/paint damage to the metal. I don't really care about this one though its worth nothing. It is still a bit of a shame, but no real incentive to repair it.
