why?

i have a ,clark 180 wirefeed, and for some reason when im welding it tends to spit and sputter so i can never get a clean weld. does anyone know the problem?

what gas are you using ? pure co2 causes more spatter then a mix
if its gasless they do tend to spatter more

Usually an uneven wire feed.

Could be liner is plugged, bad tip, bad neck liner or reel to tight.

What wire are you using?
