Why don't Newarc make an ac/dc tig machine?

I've always thought they make a decent product and they obviously have the experience with inverter design...

I just struck me as odd that they decide not to offer a product for that market segment...

Thoughts?

They brought me a pre-production prototype AC/DC to try about ten years ago.
It didn't go well.

I think their core business is the oil and shipbuilding industry, and there isn't much call for AC/DC in that sector.

Fair enough Jim, kind of answers my questions... Hence why they dropped the rm1400 rm1700 portable mig machines.

Too complex and expensive to sell against the waves of Chinese imports. Nice little sets though, I still have an RM1700 and an RM2500 on the fleet.
