If my psu arrives from Austrailia tomorrow thats 8 days over xmas holidays, not slow, just a shame they are dicks.
They messed up my delivery last year and it cost me 15 quid in phone charges, for the privalege of having to collect it myself from a local shop, so I will not use them if I have the choice.

DHL are the absolute worst of the lot. I cannot begin to tell you of the total cockups they have made with every delivery, bar one, in the last 16 years.
I will actually bail on a purchase if DHL are involved and go elsewhere.

We use DHL for work so I get a lot of deliveries from them, always great service from our local chap and never had one lost. I like the options for redelivery or leave in a safe place.

Problem is they are part of Deutschepost so if you buy from Germany there’s a good chance you’ll get no choice. Which is unfortunate.
That said all my German purchases have been no issue so far. It’s the other origins that use dhl that have been a pain.

I can’t complain about DHL today, the L200 battery decided to die yesterday (a bank holiday). Ordered a new battery from Tayna it arrived this morning via DHL and I’ve just finished fitting it, back in action again.

Could be worse - could be blimmin’ Tuffnells!

shipped a set of squat stands with them last year: fella approached me about making a set and collecting “yup sure.” made them and it turned out he lives somewhere in Bucks.

“that’ll probably be too far for you to deliver to me, huh?”

so shipped with Tuffnells... local van driver picked it up from mine, I helped him with it as it was quite awkward and cumbersome... then a few days later the lad tells me Tuffnells are giving him the rubber ear. “Never heard of it.”

local driver had rung me to figure out exactly where the house was, so I call him. Immediately remembers, explains where and when he drops it to the depot, gives me a manager’s number.

manager said he’d never seen anything.

lad thankfully had insured the shipping for “just above” the value i’d charged him, so ended up buying a commercial set with the money...
