Who can make AC hoses?

Currently fitting a universal AC kit in my car, all the hoses are perfect other than the one from the compressor to the condenser,
It was normally in an all on one unit but I'm mounting it separately so the hose is too short and I need a 90 degree to fit where I want it.

Been to pirtek and James Lister, messaged a few AC repair places and they don't do hoses.

Any Ideas? I don't really want to go down the buying a crimper and fittings route for one pipe.

I got one done by a commercial ac system company.

Try one that does PSV or plant repairs because they will be more used to making up hoses as a matter of course.

Of no use to you but my local Pirtek does AC hoses. They share the crimper with another branch. Done for beer tokens as well.

Advanced Radiators do them .
But they are i the north east

All of the mobile automotive air con guys keep the hose,ferrules and crimping tools on board, may as well call one out to make a hose, vac it out and recharge it.

There's a mobile commercial vehicle ac and fridge business, around the corner from me. I'll try to get number their number and ask if they make flex pipes or know of a place. When I past if they there....

If it came to it there is the Air-O-Crimp series of fittings and clamps which can be crimped without such a special crimper.

Had loads of obscure power steering/air con pipes made up and repaired by this chap - spent a lot of money with Pirtek over the years.

Never met this Chris in person - always done it by email with photos or over the phone.

As it is Norwich - 45miles away - I get our local Motor Factor who has branch in Norwich to collect and deliver the pipes.

But I got a good working relationship with "Chris of last resort" - got no idea if he is young or old.

@Bornfree - yes he is very/very helpfull...


He likes my emailed multi photos of pipes with multiple tape measures placed along side each part of the pipe - end on photos of fittings.

I did get an email thread once from his that went sort of like this...

Chris: "Nothing wrong with having OCD - this pipe has seven hard/soft sections to it - I got pictures of it with seven tape measures laid out next to all seven bits of it"

Chris: "No not at all - its the people who refer to bits of hard/soft pipes as long or short I struggle with - the post it notes in the photos next to each tape length - with the length written in MM's with sharpie pen - was the pièce de résistance"

We took the original hose and fixings to Pirtek and they made us one.

The ones around me seem to just do recharging or very minor repairs.

I've emailed a few companies and had replies saying no.

Worst comes to worst, Ill make a bracket and fit the compressor where this hose will reach,which is unfortunatly outside my side locker on the chassis but hey ho.

If you get stuck you can borrow my aircon ferrule crimping tool, ferrules are pennies and the pipe is cheap. It’s a small hand held gadget that would post easily.

My guy who is ex Oldbury Pirtex says Oldbury can do them.
Also he suggested James Lister - the motorsport department which is in the same building.

Or an alternative could be Burga clips/fittings, provided they have a fitting suitable for the compressor, or if you cut the hose off the existing one, the pipe is a suitable size.
