Whitewash

Anyone knocked their own up?
I've used some many moons ago,and i'm looking to apply some on old wooden fencing,yes i know the stuff dont stay on for long,but thats what i want,the worn old effect.
Seen a load of recipes out there,but this one looks interesting

Waterproof goes against one of the major benefits of limewash IE breathability

horrible stuff everyones ceilings were painted with it years ago wallpaper wont stick to it and it all needs scraping and washing off then sealing before painting

No ceilings or wallpaper will come to harm

As the boy on the estate, I got the job of whitewashing all the internal walls and ceilings of the rearing sheds. Horrible job, took days to clean everything and whitewash it all.

Limewash is good and solid. As much so as any other paint anyhow.

I think it's distemper that you are on about. Which, yes, is horrible stuff.

Especially if your dog contracts it coat > door.....
