Right, a 'Watt' is it a unit of measurement of power or something?
Eg my ancient Bosch hammer drill is rated at 600 watts, a fine drill, but it would struggle to drill a hole over 10mm.
Then I looks at pillar drills, they seem to be rated around 500-550 watts for a reasonable unit, and will make much bigger holes.
Are we talking torque? eg a much bigger motor produces much torque for the same power. is it that simple. Or Watt?
Another aside. 'High' power cheapo cordless drills such as the ****e 18volt jobbie I had are much less powerful in real life than the quality 14 volt I now own. is there different sized volts as well?
Eelectrickery was never my strong point.
