Hi
I recently bought a clarke 150TE that was only 2 months old. The chap gave me the standard regulator for disposable bottles, which ive been using with a CO2 i bought to practice with. But he also gave me a new twin gauge BOC regulator for the big bottles. This reg has 400 bar on one gauge and Argon/CO2 lites/min on the other, it has a male thread. Is this regulator for Argon/CO2 mix only, as i was looking to get a big bottle in next week or so but had planned on just getting CO2. Iam only really practising at the moment and will only be welding mild steel?
Is it worth me getting the mix for what iam using it for? Cost of difference in gas/cost of different regulator etc?
Any help much appreciated
Mike
