Hi there,
Totally new here and not a welder, or a sprayer, but have been given a HVLP sprayer (cheap Apollo Spraymate) and am looking at spraying my kitchen cabinets (after some practice!)
I don't have an air fed respirator, so won't be spraying 2 pack. I'm torn between cellulose and iso free 2-pack. Which would you go for? Different shops give different recommendations.
I'm not looking to spray high gloss, just matt/satin.
Will be spraying in my garage, if necessary will make a tent from plastic and will wet the floor.
So far I've learned:
Iso-free 2 pack takes ages to cure (not a problem, as soon as it can be handled it'll come into the heated house)
Iso-free 2 pack is flexible, hard wearing and scratch/chip resistant
Iso-free dust free time is 30 mins approx.
Iso-free is expensive
Cellulose is cheaper, but I've heard that I'll use twice as much so it'll cost more in the long run.
Cellulose might suffer 'bloom' in the winter
Cellulose sets hard but isn't flexible and chips easily
Cellulose has a dust free time that's far shorter than iso-free 2 pack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
PS. Sorry I don't mean to hijack, I couldn't think of anywhere more appropriate to post!
