hi all,
just starting to restore my 40 yr old beetle convert.
i want to buy a mig welder.
i know from my reading that it needs to be as high amp as i can afford.
i really want a good one. i dont want to buy a dull make that really lets me down and i end up giving up on my project.
out of 10 for the following makes can you please advise please?
Cebora
BOC
SIP
Sealey
Clarke
i used to flog SIP welders a long time ago and Clarke. im not sure how they rate nowadays.

for cars high amperage is not required and the clarkes are popular of on here, sip dont bother cebora ok ive seen people not so happy with sealey boc mine was ok but then it was a cebora with boc branding

i hear good things about sealey, i think there underrated, and to be honest i think clarke are overrated, and a bit dear, but thats just my opinion.
