which mig to keep

hi ,everyone , bought a migtronic mx180 with medium sized argon mix bottle to learn to weld with , had it checked over at my local weld suppliers and serviced they said it was a cracking machine that had never seen any industrial use and welded lovely ,now then bought another mig from someone else who had recently died and family was cleaning his house out , it is a cebora 186 stag in great condition and full size bottle, good regulator with with flow valve . haven't got enough room in my little garage so one will have to go , as I said both machines are in great condition having only been used by hobbyists who both passed away or they would still be with them as their pride and joy , has anybody had experiences with these migs in the past and know which is the best and most versatile to learn on ,both machines run on 13 amp plugs as that's all I have in my garage ,thanks in advance for any advice

I would keep Migatronic, I had one and simply loved it. I use Migatronic welders at work and I am very happy with them. I also had two Cebora welders at home and they were great machines but I would still go for Migatronic.

that was my original plan and probably the one I will keep ,just couldn't resist buying the cebora ,both machines run so quiet you would hardly know they were on ,thanks for the advice , just cant resist buying tools and equipment all the time...lol

The full size bottles normally belong to the company they were hired from, ie air products, boc etc. So they probably shouldnt have been sold to you. If you go to have them filled you may get a bill for back rental.

When there empty i suggest you ring the owners and say these were left by the previous occupant of my house please come and collect.

well it looks like the cebora might go , as you can see not much space at the moment , to many projects on the go
