which mig for car bodywork

Looking for mig setup mainly to do car bodywork. And general bits on car

Not looking for the small bottle's as I recall there not very good the self contained ones.

What do people recommend for novice.

Got good mask thst got with murex arc welder got few yrs ago

Got grinders and hand tools just after mig

Anyone selling g a used one or recommend something suitable

Plenty on the Market used and new but a budget would help steer recommendations

agree with needing your budget however id say for body work youd be better looking for a mig that can go low on amps that works better on thin metal

yes i ment some migs have a low setting of 20/25 wich would be easier on the thin stuff in regards to burn through etc in comparison to a mig with a low of say 30+

If it's any help I've had a kemmpi miniarc mig for six years has been totally reliable easy to set up very light to carry perfect for welding cars and more.

Hi sorry for late reply budget not really got one in mind

Would rather pay bit extra and get something that's going to make my life easier. I would say max u would be welding would be few mm

Will say 300 as a goal post as no doubt will end up in back of garage

Probably best looking second hand, check out eBay and see if anything tickles your fancy. Make sure to check out the machine before parting with your cash!

whereabouts are you based , I am in durham and have a complete mig set up for £350 with gas if that would help you out
