Many years ago I had some roll centre correction pins made for my track car. They have been used since with no issues, but I've replaced the hubs and am having a couple of new pins made from EN19T.
The hubs are cast but weld nicely without many contaminants.
I can't for the life of me remember what filler rods I bought. I know I got some specifically for this weld, but that's all.
What rods do I need? I don't need 5kg, literally a couple of rods will be sufficient.
Before welding the entire assembly was preheated
welded using the correct filler rods.
To reduce any micro movement the top of the pin and the slot was also welded
The pin fully welded in place and allowed to cool naturally.
