Which courier to engage to pick up a small parcel

Sounds like you're going to use RM/PF but I'll throw in a late +1 for Hermes. Always found them very easy to use, cheap, and they've never lost a parcel of mime. I think they charge an extra 30p to pick up a parcel which is pretty much a no-brainer.

I use Hermes,
The Post Office is closer, but Hermes is cheaper,
It all depends on parcel size etc.

I've used Hermes for years with just one "lost" parcel which came back to me about 6 weeks later with a refund, but recently noticed RM are better for small/medium parcels up to 2kg which a lot of my stuff seems to fall into so go with them, plus if there's any problems with RM I've got @Wozzaaah phone number

DPD are good in this area, plenty of drop off/collection points if you cant hang about for a collection/delivery and a lot cheaper than RM.

Seriously UK parcels under 30kg more hassle than they are worth.
Obviously will help out when people are stuck.
