Hi helpers....
I want to buy a Clarke Mig welder.
Something for home garage/hobby use. I plan on buying a 50's or 60's vintage classic car, which may need a bit (Or lot) of welding.
The other occasional use would be whatever I can do without bothering engineering shops and mates.
It seems the 160 amp machines are where home use off 13 amp power on single phase tops out, though there seems to be a few new Clarke machines into the 170 amp range now too.
Affordability, good price and the option to change to larger refillable bottles is a must as well.
I Have pm'd Weldequip, and await his answer.
Machine Mart have sent me a special voucher for VAT off Clarke tools tonight 6-9pm, and on Sunday 17th at 10am - 4pm.
This means I could get at least 15% off the advertised prices.
RECOMMENDATIONS, WARNINGS and any other advice all happilly accepted.
Please PM, or post on here.
Cheers,
Rian.
